Hosted trips for TikTok travel creators

Explera hosts TikTok travel creators in Thailand, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand, providing hotel, transfers and activities on the ground in exchange for honest, disclosed coverage. Explera has no TikTok account, so TikTok posts carry no Explera tag, only the disclosure. Your blog post and @expleradmc posts on other platforms still apply.

Can TikTok creators get hosted travel collaborations?

Yes. If TikTok is where your audience is, you can apply to be hosted by Explera in Thailand, Japan, South Korea or New Zealand. We arrange agreed parts of the trip on the ground and you publish coverage in your own style. It is a hosted collaboration, not a paid campaign: there is no fee.

Do I need a minimum number of TikTok followers?

If TikTok is your primary channel, your follower count there decides your tier, and hosted tiers start at the threshold set out on the programme page. Below it, the Spotlight tier is considered case by case and normally covers one activity or tour, with no hotel. Reviewers also check engagement quality and audience geography, not views on a single viral post.

Do I have to tag Explera on TikTok?

No. Explera has no TikTok account, so there is nothing to tag and no Explera handle requirement on TikTok posts. Please do not tag or link any account claiming to be Explera there. Your TikTok posts still need the disclosure that applies to your audience.

What do I have to post?

TikTok videos about the trip are welcome, but the required deliverables also include posts outside TikTok, because every applicant owns a blog or website and Explera's handle lives on other platforms. Your agreement lists them; typically:

  • A pre-trip announcement on a platform where @expleradmc exists (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube or Threads), plus a blog post on your own site.
  • A blog post after the trip with a link to the agreed Explera page.
  • Social posts tagging @expleradmc on Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube or Threads, as your agreement sets out.
  • Any TikTok videos you agree to, carrying the disclosure and no Explera tag.

How do I disclose a hosted trip on TikTok?

Switch on TikTok's content disclosure setting for branded content and also say clearly, on screen or at the start of the caption, that the trip was hosted, for example with #ad. The rules follow your audience's market, not the destination's, and your agreement gives the exact wording.

Can I use trends, sounds and fast edits?

Yes. Format, trends and editing are your call; Explera never scripts or pre-approves your content. Use only sounds you are allowed to use for branded content, keep claims accurate, and expect a request for a factual correction if a price or safety detail is wrong.

Are there filming rules on the ground?

Yes. Venues set their own rules, and they apply to you as a guest. Temples, shrines and palaces often limit filming, tripods or drones; some restaurants and spas ask you not to film other guests. Each destination site lists shooting notes for its experiences, and drone permits are your responsibility unless your itinerary says otherwise.

How do I prove my posts?

Submit every deliverable in the creator portal with its live link and at least one screenshot. For TikTok, the screenshot shows the disclosure; for other platforms, it shows the @expleradmc tag as well. The deliverables page explains the checks.

How do I apply?

Apply through the application form with your TikTok handle, your other channels, your blog or website and your preferred destination and dates. If you also post on Instagram, the Instagram guide covers that side.
