How it works

How the programme works, from application to publishing

Apply on any Explera site at least three weeks before travel. You get an answer within five business days on the reviewing market's calendar. If approved, you announce the trip, sign the agreement in the portal on the hub, travel, and publish your agreed coverage within 30 days of your last travel day.

    Tell us about your channel, your audience, your blog or website and the trip you have in mind.

  2. 5 business days

    Step 2: Review

    We verify reach, engagement and audience geography, then give you an answer either way.

  3. Signed in the portal

    Step 3: Agreement

    Inclusions, dates, deliverables and disclosure wording, agreed and signed before anything is booked.

  4. Within 30 days

    Step 4: Travel & publish

    Announce the trip before you go, then publish within 30 days of your last travel day, tagging @expleradmc.

The four steps

  1. Apply. Use the form on the hub or on any destination site. On the hub you can pick one destination or several.
  2. Review. A reviewer for the relevant market verifies your channels and replies within five business days, counted on that market's business-day calendar. The clock pauses while we wait on you.
  3. Agreement. You sign the agreement in the portal. It sets out the tier, the itinerary basis, the deliverables and the exact disclosure wording.
  4. Travel and publish. You travel on the agreed dates and publish your coverage within 30 days of the last travel day, submitting proof in the portal.

How much notice do you need?

Apply at least three weeks before you want to travel. Scheduling needs at least a week after the agreement is signed. The form warns you if your dates are sooner; it does not block you, but short-notice trips are harder to place.

Before you travel

  • Publish a pre-trip announcement post on your channel(s) tagging @expleradmc, and a blog post on your own site linking to the agreed Explera page.
  • Submit both in the portal with the live URL and at least one screenshot. They are verified before the trip moves to travelling.
  • Upload proof of travel insurance, enter your flight details and name any agreed companion.

In the creator portal on this hub. Destination sites send login here, so one account holds every application you make, whichever country it is for.
